Brave warrior of the streets, guardian of the trash bins, four-legged Pup Protector of the City -- he is as silent as a Labrador in the night, as graceful as a Great Dane dancing in and out of the alleys in the daytime. We know him as man's super-bestest friend, as the canine caper-crasher -- but when, and where, does a weary furball lay his head?
Rumors and legends fly about the city. Some believe he sleeps upon the clouds themselves (since, as we all know, his magical collar gives him the power of flight). Others are convinced he keeps his hyper-sensitive nose tuned atop the tallest of skyscrapers, sniffing out crime aside growling gargoyles, and that he does not rest. But there are those that whisper of a secret identity -- a pair of tags that sometimes jangle about that magical collar. Stories of a small boy to keep him company, of squeaky toys that would be the delight of any hound, of a high-rise apartment filled with orthopedic pet beds that bring him the snooze time he so desperately deserves.
We can only hope that his warm abode is stocked with programmable pet feeders and sweet treats, for he receives no comfort patrolling the dirty avenues of our fair 'burg and keeping us safe from the dangers of the darkness. As he gazes down on us from the skies, we can only ask questions -- Who is UpDog? Where is UpDog? And most importantly -- the question that plagues our minds each hour of each day --
